McCulloch (McCulloch Chainsaws), Lake Havasu City real estate was incorporated in 1978 and grew out of an old mining town. The London Bridge was bought for $2.5 million from the City of London in 1968 and was shipped to Lake Havasu for another $7 million in 1971. The city is serviced by several intersecting loop roads which connect with Highway 95.Lake Havasu SchoolsThe Lake Havasu school system provides public education through the Lake Havasu Unified School District. The district consists of six elementary schools, two middle schools, three high schools, five charter schools and 22 private schools.Lake Havasu real estate is also home to one of Mohave Community College's off-site campuses. Visitors to the college will find a library, computer center and bookstore that are open to the public. Mohave Community College students learn specific job skills to improve their value in the workplace. Students may also go back to school here to earn their GEDs. Fun in Lake HavasuWhether Lake Havasu is your destination location or a stop on the way to other nearby attractions, there are so many wonderfully fun things to see and do. Visit the old world charm of the English Village located under the famous London Bridge. Enjoy the lake by laying on the beach, participating in any one of a number of watersports (boating, fishing, waterskiing, swimming) or camping out in one of the tent or RV campgrounds in the area. If you are more of a desert rat, there are acres upon acres of beautiful BLM land to go racing around in your sandrails or on your quads. You can even enjoy the many types of wildlife that the desert has to offer by hiking throughout the area.
